A PerennialStoloniferous herb. Leaves in clusters, kidney-shaped to almost circular, up to 35 mm by 55 mm. Leaf stalks up to 80 mm long with narrow wings. Flowers arise on stalks up to 170 mm long from among the leaves with a pair of Bracteoles, about half way up. Flowers have 5 Petals 7 to 10 mm long, usually mauve-violet at the centre and white at the tips, but occasionally all white. The lower Petal is broader than the other four. Fruit is a capsule 4 to 6 mm long.
