Scientific Name : Tetrarrhena juncea
Common Name : Forest wire-grass
Height : Up to 8
Description : A Perennial grass with long stems climbing and twining through low vegetation. Stems are wiry and Scabrous and much branched. Leaves 10 to 80 mm long, and up to 5 mm wide, flat, spreading from the stem. Flowers occur in Spike-like Racemes, 20 to 70 mm long.
Habitat : Mostly in wet forests, climbing through low shrubs.
Distribution : Common in Fosters Gully. Common throughout Southern Victoria and also in Tasmania and New South Wales.
Flowering Season : November to December
Family : Poaceae
