Description : |

A large bat, to 77 mm long. The fur is brown above, paler on the underside, There is a distinct white stripe along the body just under the wings. The ears are large and fleshy, rounded and forward-pointing. This bat is generally very high flying, (above the tree-tops) and is therefore rarely caught in traps. |

A variety of habitats, including forests, woodlands and farmland. |

Distribution : |
|
All of Australia, South of the tropics, except Tasmania. Widespread in Victoria. Status in the Park is unknown, but recorded on three occcasions, flying high over the Kerry Road Car Park, by Lindy Lumsden. |
