Low shrub, with multiple stems from a Perennial rootstock. Stems die back each winter to be replaced by new stems in the spring. Leaves 100 to 350 mm long, Pinnate with 3 to 11 toothed Ovate toothed Leaflets, up to 150 mm by 60 mm. Inflorescence is a TerminalCorymb of white flowers 5mm long, with 4 Petals curled in to touch at the centre of each flower. Fruit are yellowish-white berries, 5mm diameter, semi-transparent and edible.
