Basal leaves occur only on non-flowering plants as a rosette of 3 to 6 leaves. Flowering plants have several Cauline leaves, which are narrow Lanceolate, spreading widely. Each stem bears from 1 to 20 flowes each about 15mm long and angled out from the stem. Flowers are green with indistinct whitish stripes. The Dorsal Sepal and lateral Petals together form the Galea, which is shaped like an inverted boat. The lateral Sepals are directed downwards. They are joined for most of their length, but separate into two sharp points. The Labellum is slender, protruding forward from the flower, with a notched tip. |

Habitat : |

Wet Schlerophyll forests and wetter open forests. On Stringybark Ridge, the biggest plants grow in the middle of clumps of Xanthorrhoea minor. |

Distribution : |
|
Queensland to South Australia and Tasmania. Widespread and common in Victoria, especially in the South and East. Common in the Park, on both sides of Fosters Gully, on Stringybark Ridge and Silvertop Hill. |
