An attractive, sweet-scented flower popularly grown in gardens. There are several basal leaves, which are Linear flat or slightly channelled, up to 500mm long, by 10mm wide. The flowers stems are as long as or slightly longer than the leaves, bearing an Umbel of up to 10 flowers. Each flower has an upright Pedicel up to 50mm long, which is bent sharply just below the Ovary, so that the axis of the flower is horizontal. The Tepals are white or yellow, 20mm long and there is a prominent trumpet shaped Corona 5mm long, which is yellow to orange. The fruit is a fleshy capsule to 20mm long. |
