An attractive orchid, with up to three grass-like channelled leaves at the base. The flower stem bears 1 to 5 flowers, which are predominantly sulphur yellow. The Dorsal Sepal is Ovate, 20mm long directed forwad and forming a hood over the Column and Labellum. It is sulphur-yellow, with a pair of conspicuous brown spots near the base. The lateral Sepals are 25mm long, linear, parallel or just crossing, greenish, projecting downward below the Labellum. The lateral Petals have a long brownish Claw expanding into two Ovate, bluntly pointed, sulphur-yellow ears above the rest of the flower. The Labellum is 12mm long, with three lobes. The lateral lobes are short and broad, spreading on either side of the Column. The central lobe is twice as long, projecting forward. It is folded to form a clear central ridge and has brown blotches towards the tip. |

Queensland to South Australia and Tasmania. Widespread throughout Victoria, except the North-West. Only recorded once in the Park near the Stringybark Ridge track in 1985. |
