Description : |

A tiny inconspicuous orchid, often hidden under bracken. It has a solitary leaf, flat on the ground, near circular to heart shaped, green on top, green with a purplish wash on the underside, 30mm by 20mm. The solitary flower grows on a stem under 10mm long, which elongates after flowering. The Dorsal Sepal is 15mm long. It has a long Claw, which expands into a reddish-purple dome, curved forward as a hood over the Labellum. The lateral Sepals are white, thread-like 10mm long. The lateral Petals are similar, but only 5mm. The Labellum is 20mm long and protrudes beyond the Dorsal Sepal. Its margins are curved up to form a broad tube, except at the tip, which is open. The are a number of slender Calli, concealed inside the Labellum tube. |
