Easily identified as a beard-orchid by the hair-like Glands covering the lower part of the Labellum. A single flower stem arises from a single channelled, slender fleshy leaf, with several, smaller leaf-like Bracts up the stem. There are 2 to 10 flowers, mainly pale green, but with purplish hairs on the Labellum. This species is easily separated from the other beard-orchids, by the two metallic blue plates at the top of the Labellum. The dorsal Sepal forms a hood over the Column.
