Description : |

An attractive and distinctive spider orchid, with a long comb-like fringe on the Labellum. The leaf is single, Lanceolate, 100mm long and up to 10mm wide. The single flower stem bears a large solitary flower. The Sepals are 40mm long, greenish, with a central reddish stripe. They taper to narrow filaments and end in clubs of brownish Glands. The Petals are shorter, spreading and lack the terminal clubs. The Labellum is large and three-lobed. The lateral lobes are green and curve upwards, with a long comb-like fringe. The mid-lobe is deep red, tapering and curled under. There are four rows of crowded deep red Calli on the Lamina extended onto the mid lobe. |

New South Wales and Victoria. Widespread in inland Victoria, except for the North-West. Very uncommon in the Park, but photographed on Stringybark Ridge in October 1989. |
