A distinctive little orchid, with the blackish Labellum contrasting strongly with the pink of the other Perianth segments. The leaf is solitary,, up to 200mm long by 5 mm wide. A single flower stem bears 1 to 4 flowers. Perianth segments are bright pink, up to 20mm long. The Dorsal Sepal is angled sharply forward, forming a hood over the Labellum. The Labellum has three lobes. The lateral lobes are erect and almost conceal the Column. The mid lobe is extended forward and is densely covered with congested blackish Calli. |
