Description : |

A single flower stem emerges each year from a tuberous rootstock. Ther are 1 or 2 Cauline leaves, up to 200 mm long, Linear and channelled. There are 2 to 9 sweet scented flowers arranged in an Umbel. The Tepals are Ovate, up to 10mm long, white on the upper surface, but pink on the under surface. There are 6 Stamens, shorter than the Tepals, with pinkish Anthers and the Superior Ovary is deep pink, prominent in the centre of the flower. The fruit is a dry capsule 12 mm long. |

All states of Australia, except for the Northern Territory. Common across most of Victoria, but absent from the North-West. Common in the Park on hillsides on both sides of Fosters Gully, especially on Stringybark Ridge. |
