Scientific Name : Amanita ochrophylloides
Common Name : N/a
Description : Cap whitish to pale fawn, up to 300 mm diameter, frequently covered in in large scales and warts. The stem is stout, with a swollen base, usually surrounded by remnants of the Volva. There is a well-developed ring near the top of the stem. Stem and ring are whitish. Gills are Free, crowded and are near-white. Spores are white.
Habitat : On the ground in native forests.
Distribution : Eastern Australia, from South Australia to Queensland. Fairly frequent in open forest on both sides of Fosters Gully.
