 A  Flowers bright pink, funnel-shaped, flowering late summer with no leaves at flowering time, strongly scented
 B  Flowers mainly white, with 6 equal spreading white tepals surrounding a creamy yellow corona, flowering in spring with leaves present at flowering time, strongly scented
 C  Flowers mainly white, with 6 elongated tepals, the outer three are spreading or deflexed, white with a thickened yellow callus in the centre, the inner tepals are white, almost erect, not scented
