Scientific Name : Thysanotus patersonii
Common Name : Twining fringe-lily
Height : Climbing to 1 metre
Description : A delicate little lily, with multiple branched twining, leafless stems. There may be a couple of basal leaves, which are slender, linear up to 200mm long. Flowers are solitary at the ends of the branches. Perianth segments are purple, 10mm long. The Sepals are linear. The Petals are rounded, with a thickened, darker central zone and a distinct fringe (up to 1mm long) around the edge. The fruit is a dry capsule.
Habitat : Found in a variety of habitats.
Distribution : All states of Australia. Widespread and local throughout Victoria. Very uncommon in the Park, where it is only known from the Stringybark Ridge area.
Flowering Season : September and October
