Scientific Name : Egernia saxatilis
Common Name : Black rock skink
Description : A largish skink, to 270mm. Colour is uniform dark blackish-brown. Scales are wrinkled, so that the skink has a rough file-like texture to its upper-parts. Often basks on rocks and fallen tree-trunks.
Habitat : Mostly among exposed rock faces. In the park usually seen around fallen trees.
Distribution : Highlands of Victoria and New South Wales. In the park often seen along Fosters Gully.
