Scientific Name : Bulbine semibarbata
Common Name : Leek lily
Height : 300 mm
Description : The flowering stem grows in a tuft of basal leaves, up to 200mm long. These are Linear and fleshy, often almost Terete. There are 10 or more yellow flowers, in a spike. The Tepals are 7mm long. There are 6 Stamens, with orange Anthers. The inner 3 Stamens have bearded Filaments, but the outer three are Glabrous. The fruit is a dry, spherical capsule 5mm long.
Habitat : Usually on light, often sandy soils.
Distribution : All states of Australia, except the Northern Territory. Scattered across Victoria, common in the extreme North-West of the state. Known from the Park from a small colony growing on an insolated cliff on the hillside East of Billy Creek.
