Common Name : Urticating anthelid
Description : The caterpillar is very hairy, and the hairs can irritate the skin.
Habitat : The caterpillars feed on wattles, including blackwood Acacia melanoxylon.
Distribution : One caterpillar fell on the back of my neck in the vicinity of Silvertop Hill!
